Summer Family Fun

With only a few more weeks left until we break up for the summer holidays I have been thinking more and more about how I can make the last few months before LB starts big school in September extra special.

Now we are obviously not made of money (who is?) so it will not be expensive day trips galore but smaller low key days out, time spent with friends and family, in the garden and at the park and as long as we are together thats all that matters.

  • Picnics at the Park – we have quite a lot of local parks to explore including a brand new one which is just finishing being built now, we are very excited about trying that one
  • Feed the ducks
  • Go Swimming
  • Paddling Pool and Sprinkler fun in the garden
  • Make ice lollies
  • Go Fruit Picking to our local PYO
  • Get LB to Learn to ride his bike
  • Go to the Library to find some new books to enjoy-our little village library has a reading challenge to try
  • Go for bike rides in the trailer with Daddy and long walks in the woods
  • Go shopping for school uniform
  • Enjoy our first cinema trip to see Despicable Me 3 and/or Cars 3
  • Butterfly Farm – LB has been doing one at school and is desperate to have one at home too
  • Plenty of BBQ’s
  • Have a Water Fight
  • A day down at the river with Nanny and Grandad
  • Enjoy homegrown tomatoes and strawberries (hopefully)
  • Go to the Beach – LB’s main idea
  • Blow Bubbles
  • Have a playdate with friends
  • Go to Odds Farm
