Oh What A Week! Summer has officially arrived and its been a scorcher!
This heat wave has been very welcome for me, maybe not so much for the baby though, we’ve had a few sleepless nights and sweaty mornings.
We’ve had Father Day Celebrations, A trip to Legoland with LB, more dance festivals and show rehearsals, and amongst it all Mummy’s been trying to find a mountain of motivation for a number of things-its shown a flicker!
So grab yourself a cuppa, put your feet up and check out my Little Loves
for what has been a pretty wonderful week.
READ
This week I brought a Slimming World magazine, I’m not 100% sure what made me do it if I’m honest, except maybe the phrase ‘Now I believe in Myself’ on the cover! As I said last week a friend of mine has lost 3 stone so far this year on SW and I’ve been receiving all her clothes that are now to big for her. I haven’t really felt in the right frame of mind to diet as such, but I have lost 4lbs in the last 3 weeks so something must be happening-maybe its the stress of dance festivals/exams/show that have taken up the whole of this month, but who cares, I need to lose 3.5 stone so thats a bonus start without really trying. It was the Motivation Issue as well so i can only hope it spurs me.
HEARD
Lots of happy squeals from LB as he splashes in and out of the paddling pool, plays with his auntie and cousins and enjoys rides.
Unfortunately after a week of busy days, late nights and with the blazing heat,
yesterday meant an emotional boy who was easily frustrated and obviously just needed to sleep but wouldnt give in.
WATCHED
I watched LB have an absolute blast with his best friend at Legoland on Monday. Preschool had an inset day so they organise a trip to Legoland each summer. Reduced price tickets, friends, scorching sunshine and Nanny and Grandad looked after Little Bro so LB got Mummy’s full attention. We went on rides (everyones favourite was the log flume), drank slushies and ate ice cream, got wet in the splash pad, watched pirate shows and stared in awe at all the amazing Lego figures throughout the park. Definitely a fun day had by all!
MADE
A Friend had sent me a free trial so we got a Hello Fresh Delivery this week for 3 meals. We chose Tandoori Chicken, Moroccan Burgers and Pan Fried Chicken.
So far we’ve cooked the first two and I’ve been pretty impressed. Really lovely flavours and easy enough to pull together especially as you don’t need to measure anything as it’s all there ready to go.
WORE
These two, bless them, have been dragged around so much this month, I’ve been doing extra evenings during the week and long weekend days. Its a good job that they love all the attention they get. At Rehearsals on Wednesday they even started trying on costumes-too cute!
AND LASTLY
For Fathers Day LB made B the cutest card at Preschool.
They have had a Pirate theme for a while now and this was a great idea (I’ve only ever seen Christmas themed handprints but this is cool! )
We had a chilled out morning with Daddy making him tea and breakfast and giving plenty of cuddles before heading off to the park for a few hours to see my Dad and family for a picnic. This meant that B could enjoy some peace and quiet-lucky devil!.
P stole everyone’s heart of course and made everyone laugh by how much
he wants to eat and move-preferably at the same time!
I hope you have all had a wonderful week and I look forward to heading over to Morgana’s blog to check out some other LittleLoves.
Happy Friday Everyone and have a great weekend!
Mmm I love Hello Fresh, their ingredients and ideas are great if you need a culinary cook up the bum (which is me, often!). Glad you had a great Legoland trip, we’re definitely due a trip there soon #LittleLoves

All recipes were thoroughly enjoyable. It’s so easy to get stuck in a rut with cooking and it helped to mix things up for sure. Legoland was great I just wish I could afford to take him more often x

I haven’t been to Legoland since I was a kid, must take Parker soon. I remember it being a great day out! Sounds like you’re really busy with your dance exams and performances etc. I’ve just been promoted to Head of Performing Arts at the secondary school I work at, so have lots of fun (eek!) ahead of me. Enjoy your weekend xx
