Happy Friday everyone! It’s been Half Term for us this week and I honestly have no idea how we are at Friday already! We have survived our last Half Term before LB starts big school and are about to enter the final 7 weeks of preschool. This is certainly something that has been going round and round in my head recently! Such a big milestone and change for LB and us as parents.
Anyway this Half Term has been fun! We’ve seen family and friends, enjoyed picnics and park trips, kids days out with Nanny and Grandad while we worked and a trip to London solo. I’ve stalked my sister in law and friends Instagram for beautiful photos of the wedding and their time in Barbados and desperately awaited my best friends baby news! I’ve been vaguely productive, at home and for work and have felt positive – I’m pretty sure the weather helps that one! Anyway enough babbling and onto this weeks Little Loves ……
Read
I read the first chapter of ‘The Room‘ but in pure Gemma style right now, I haven’t picked it up again for a while! I have most definitely lost my book mojo!
Heard
B has been playing some music again when he gets in from work while I finish cooking dinner and although we have very different taste in music generally, occasionally we both love something! Chase and Status seems to be a hit this week. It’s great as LB Loves a kitchen disco and has a really eclectic taste in music now!
Watched
Yep now well into season 5 of ‘Once Upon a Time‘ though I have tried to reign myself in on the amount of episodes I’m watching each night so I can get some work done and sit chatting with the hubby!
Made
This week we’ve been loving sweet potato fries and quinoa salad (one that I made up as I went along and it was wonderful if I do say so myself)
We also made ice lollies with fruit and coconut milk which are very tasty and healthy-when LB thinks he’s having a treat I know he’s still having something good.
I think P will be wanting to try one soon, as the mini milk at Nannys went down a treat on Wednesday.
Wore
It’s been shorts and t shirt weather for the boys and for me I’ve had my baggy summer trousers and sandals on. The temperature has dropped a bit but it’s still been warm enough to enjoy. I must admit I’m getting a nice tan, which is another confidence booster. Then on Wednesday while at my mums for lunch, my sister gave me a mini pedicure so I have nice new painted toenails that should last.
And Lastly
On Saturday I went into London with a friend to see one of my graduates in her final performance as she finishes at Mountview! The show was phenomenal and as it was a 5pm one with no interval, we were out by 7. We decided it was pointless going home when the kids would already have been sorted out by dad, so we walked along the river, went up the Tate Modern to see the fabulous view across london and went out for dinner! What a Fabulous time chatting with a good friend, doing something I love. It was a last minute decision and so well worth it!
I hope you have all had a wonderful week!
What a lovely week! I don’t blame you staying in London for an extra few hours, it’s definitely worth making the most of baby and child free evenings. xx

It was thank you! Definitely glad I Did, it’s certainly worth that ‘me time’ and makes you feel better about yourself and you get renewed energy for the kids. X

Don’t get to take the kids often as I am always working in london but it’s good to visit either way. We are huge quinoa fans in this house. Have a fab weekend ahead. #littleloves

It has been thank you-Busy but fun! I love London but as my hubby grew up there it doesn’t quite have the thrill to him! I love going up with my friend as she knows it well and shows me places I’ve never been. Have a lovely weekend x
