The Jungle Book, Sunscreen and Cookies #LittleLoves 2017 #11

Happy Friday Everyone!
Hasn’t it been wonderful seeing even more sunshine this week?!
Oh my goodness the grey days have seen me miserable and the sunny ones buzzing.
It’s this time of year that i realise quite how much the weather effects my mood.
The sun has put a spring in my step, given me a good kick up the butt
and put a smile on my face!

This Weeks Little Loves are The Jungle Book, Sunscreen and Cookies.

Read

I have devoured Happy by Fearne Cotton this week.
I have been suffering with PND and Anxiety and man is it lovely to hear a celebrity that I think is pretty fabulous has been there , done that and got the t-shirt.  The book is great for putting things into perspective, realising how as life moves forward things about you and what you appreciate will change and that it’s ok if you prefer calm rather than crazy nowadays. It also gives little exercises that may help when you’re looking deep in to yourself as I’ve been trying to recently to work out what is important, what you are grateful for and how you can dig yourself out of the darkness.

Watched

I’m loving season 2 of Quantico on Alibi.  Its an FBI/CIA series with so much drama and suspense. I thoroughly enjoyed Season 1 but watched an episode a night, i’m struggling to wait the whole week before the next one this time round.

I also watched the new film ‘Jungle Book’ and wow.
What an amazing film, the CGI, the lead Mowgli the whole thing (apart from maybe the singing) left me in awe.

Heard

I was playing a Fearne Cotton playlist on Spotify and Sunscreen-Baz Luhrmann came on and just made me flashback to being a teenager and all that advice!

Made

LB had an inset day on Tuesday and we decided to do some baking to keep us entertained for a bit and give us a little treat for our afternoon snack. They were vanilla and raisin cookies and although they got eaten i wouldn’t say they were anything special unfortunately.

Wore

My little Paw Patroller (excuse the snot).
He actually has matching joggers to this jumper (he got the set for his birthday)
but I think that would have been a little OTT,
though I’m pretty sure LB would have been in his element.
I couldn’t believe how grown up he seemed scooting to school dressed like this.
I was getting flash forward images to him as a teenager, though I hope he’s grown out of Paw Patrol and into Nike by that point-otherwise I’m not sure his Dad will be seen dead with him-Lol!

P was brought this beautiful jumper by his Auntie for Christmas.
Its 6mths + but has been perfect for the warmer school runs when i haven’t had to wrap him up in his snow suit and wooly hat.

And Lastly

Last Friday I went into LB’s preschool to do some dance with them all,
on the way home we went on a little adventure through the woods.
It was wonderful to spend some quality time with him hand in hand,
talking through all of his imaginary scenarios of what was happening in the woods, looking at the fabulous views over the valley and enjoying the fresh air,
just me and my big boy!

That book sounds brilliant, haven’t heard of it until you mentioned it. How cute is your little Paw Patroller (and his little bro), my little one would love that outfit – he’s a fan too! Have a great weekend x

I’ve read it in about 8 days-for me that’s very impressive. I think they are pretty damn cute but then of course I’m biased-lol! There seems to be a lot of paw patrol fans out there-it’s also Blaze and Rusty Rivets now. Have a lovely weekend x

I have that book sitting in front of me, I’m waiting for the right time to read it. It is a gorgeous book! I’ve been loving the lighter evenings here, makes going home late that bit easier. I have a Paw Patrol obsessed boy too! And, how lovely that you got to share your love of dance with your boy. I am so desperate for Parker to want to dance! Enjoy your weekend xx

Yes KA you do! 😉 I was really nervous even though I’ve taught dance for nearly 15 years but had a blast and they all seemed to live it! Was wonderful watching Lb get involved. Can’t wait to see what he gets up to at my summer school this year-I’m waiting to see how much he joins in and whether I can get him on the stage yet. Enjoy your weekend x
