Sunglasses, the Happy book, and going to the Theatre #LittleLoves #10

Hello Friday!

Another week has flown by and after a manic few weeks it’s been nice to chill out a bit more, well the second part of the week anyway! There was a lot of work stuff going on that has had my attention up until Monday and that has eased off slightly now, meaning I’ve had the chance to watch a film, read ( a little), chat to my husband and take a breath again!

This weeks Little Loves are Sunglasses, the Happy book, and going to the Theatre.

Read

Still catching little bits of ‘The Life Changing Magic of Not Giving a Fuck’but am slacking on the reading this week-seriously how do we keep getting to Friday again so fast!

Fearne Cottons book Happy arrived in the post today though – I’ve certainly enjoyed the bits I’ve flicked through and can’t wait to delve in!!

Heard

I’ve been listening to some Marie Forleo podcasts on the school run, some of them are short Q&As so I can fit a couple of them in, making me feel all positive to start my day.

Watched

I watched the film Bridget Jones Baby this week and laughed out loud. It made me chuckle as I sat there with my G&T, eating Nutella with a spoon that I was quite like her singleton ‘All by Myself’ moment while being a ‘Smug married’!

I went with some guys from our Youth Theatre to watch Thoroughly Modern Millie at the theatre last night. I didn’t know anything about the musical which is a little crazy for me but I really enjoyed it. Joanne Clifton was ill so it was the understudy who I wasn’t completely impressed with however there were some fabulous characters which I loved and had me laughing out loud or swooning after them.

Made

Leftover lamb from Sunday made a fabulous Scottish Broth which we enjoyed for dinner, as well as some lunches and a batch in the freezer too.

Wore

The sun came out oh yes it did, however it also tipped it down with rain so I got soaked on the preschool run! LB seemed to think that his cap wasn’t good enough at keeping the sun out of his eyes and stole my sunglasses too. He possible looks better in them than me!

And Lastly

P is 5 months old. Seriously where does the time go? He no longer seems to be a little newborn but is holding himself up more, trying to communicate and get your attention, as well as sleeping better (even a few full nights) and interacting with toys.

I have no idea Morgana it’s completely crazy! I’m literally grabbing 5 minutes here and there. I’m really loving it-my mindset hasn’t been hugely positive the last few months and this is giving me ways to think about things and making me realise I am not alone – if fearne can have these feelings then hey ho! X

Sounds like you’ve had a busy week. I got Fearne Cotton’s book for review a few weeks ago and still haven’t managed to really get into it, although I’m desperate too. I’ve not yet seen Bridget Jones Baby either, bet it is hilarious! Enjoy your week xx

Mmm, the broth looks delicious, there’s nothing like a soup to finish off the leftovers! Glad to read you enjoyed Thoroughly Modern Millie I’ve heard a few PR bits about it and it sounds like a great musical, like you I didn’t really know the story, shame it wasn’t Jo Clifton in the lead, I really like her dancing.
