So December is here-the last month of 2016
and probably the most stressful yet joyous time of the year.
P is 8 weeks old tomorrow and I am still in new baby mode, not organised in the slightest and strangely for me not feeling that festive as yet.
This is the first Christmas in 5 years that I haven’t been working at a preschool and therefore been covered in glitter and singing Christmas Song since Firework Night.
This weeks Little Loves are Gilmore Girls, Nativity and Festive HandprintsRead
I really must get back into my reading soon.
I find it a great way to relax and occupy my brain away from the to do list. Unfortunately it also sends me to sleep!
So most of my reading this week has been based around ‘Snowy Tales’ at the kids bedtime and The Elf on the Shelf book as Elvis made a much anticipated reappearance yesterday.
Heard
The lovely news that my little man is going to play Joseph in his Nativity in a few weeks. He had told me he was Mary – close enough I guess. He won’t tell me anything else though as apparently it is a surprise. I have overheard him practising some of the songs though-which is just too cute. All those times he’s been dragged along to workshops and shows at my Performing Arts School and Youth Theatre have obviously made an impact.
Watched
I was given a free Month with Netflix and that gave me the perfect excuse to watch Gilmore Girls. I was never fully into it before but i watched it enough and know the characters. So far I have seen Winter and Spring and am loving it. Trying to spread it out as when i enjoy something i tend to devour it and then feel gutted that its over.
Made
Me and LB tried a few festive crafts with some handprints, that we made into snowmen, reindeer and father christmas.
LB loves to paint and getting messy adds to the fun doesn’t it?!
Wore
Oh yes the wooly hats, scarves and gloves have been so necessary this week.
And Lastly
I’ve been giving myself a hard time recently and this quote just summed up where my focus should be. As a new mummy to two and trying to take some time out but not being able to afford someone to do the admin in my business, has meant I’ve been putting so much pressure on myself to be everything to everyone and its been taking its toll. So I need to start loving myself a little more!
I’m linking up with Morgana and all the other lovely bloggers for his weeks #LittleLoves
How exciting that your little boy is Joseph! Tissues at the ready for that one, eh?
Love the quote at the end, such a good reminder xx

I will prob never go back to the beginning of GG even though I’d love to watch them all-I am enjoying the new one though! Hope you all feel better soon x

I love that quote at the end! I was the same when I first became a mum of two, felt like I had to be in control of and on top of everything to show everyone how well I was coping. So silly really. Since relaxing and accepting a bit more help I feel a lot happier and more relaxed.
Don’t you just love woolly hat weather? I love that I don’t have to spend time on my hair in a morning as the hat hides a multitude of hair sins!! xx
