It’s Friyay!!!!
Another week gone-seriously where?
And I’m now 38 weeks pregnant and have some dates booked in for when this little monkey may make an appearance-Gulp!!
I’ve been nesting pretty seriously this week.
I’m not one for scrubbing skirting boards etc but definitely for organising every drawer and trying to get all the finishing touches on the nursery sorted-though i really should pack a hospital bag as my waters broke 9 days before LB was due and that would be next Wednesday in this case.
This weeks little loves are Girl on a Train, Curry and a Kingsize Bed
Read
I have cracked on with the girl on the train which so far I am loving.
With hospital appointments this week i spent as usual a lot of time in waiting rooms waiting for various people and got really stuck in.
I can see why people have been raving about it.
Now to see if i can finish it before baby arrives.
I also treated myself to Red Magazine (seriously i should renew my subscription) and loved reading one of the articles about why splurging a little on yourself is a good thing. Its true in saying that when your a mother and times are tight you really feel like you can’t justify anything for yourself, but just the little things can boost your happiness. Seriously the wishlist i currently have in my head is huge. In fact there are a few things i have started writing a post about that i wouldn’t mind (ok would love) for me rather than baby over the next few weeks.
Heard
LB getting super smart and cheeky and gorgeous all in one.
He was trying to sit on my lap after the bath last night for a cuddle and I said i was finding it hard to breathe sat that particular way.
His answer was
‘but you must breathe mummy or no oxygen will get to your brain and you will die’.
Umm where did my 3 year old go?
He is fascinated by a human body book that we were given by friends and he has started to get to grips with the skeleton, heart, lungs, brain and stomach its crazy.
The cuteness of hearing your child say ‘I love you too mummy’ when you say goodnight, you just can’t beat it.
Also the words ‘bored, weird, annoying’ I feel like he is slipping out of the toddler stage so quickly and when baby arrives he’s just going to seem so grown up.
At preschool they told me this week he is the kindest, sweetest, most caring little boy and that he’s going to be such a great big brother. I felt so proud to hear how lovely he is there, especially when the tantrums we have been having at home are crazy!
Watched
Not a lot again to be honest.
I have been heading up to bed early this week as I’ve been exhausting myself a little with teaching, housework and generally trying to get baby ready.
There’s lots I’m desperate to catch up on and i am tempted to sit while LB is at preschool and watch but theres so much to do and when it comes to the evenings i just don’t have the energy.
Made
This weeks fave dinners have been lasagne, chicken balti and stir fry.
I really need to do a good food shop but i keep thinking i’ll do it online and then forget until i have to run down to the Tesco Local just for one nights meal.
Wore
Seriously my maternity wear is starting to fall apart.
Trousers have got holes in them, tops are going see through. Its a good job I’ve only got a few more weeks in them-ok who am i kidding i’m going to be wearing them until Christmas!
And Lastly
The highlight of my week has been getting a kingsize bed!
Seriously can i just live here please!
We have had our double bed for so long.
The frame was brought by me approx 16 years ago and the mattress was new 10 years back. We have been discussing a kingsize for a while, even more so since I’ve been pregnant as not only has my flipping around woken B constantly, but trying to squeeze LB in for morning cuddles has got increasingly difficult.
We’ve now had two nights sleeping in it and wow the extra space has meant we’ve slept better and the mattress is firmer and meant that B seemed to get the best night sleep he has in a long time. Yes I woke up a few times for the toilet and because I’m lolling around like a beach whale right now, but i was much more comfortable.
It also feels much more mature and grown up. Most of our stuff we have had for so many years and obviously as you grow up your style changes, especially from 20’s-30s and we haven’t had the money to change much to bring it up to how we would like it.
This just gives our bedroom a much needed lift.
Thank You for reading my weekly link up with Morgana and the lovely bloggers for our #LittleLoves
Oh my the kingsize bed looks amazing, is it totally different in comparison to a standard double?

You know what it’s probably only a few inches on all sides but it means the hubby can fully fit his legs in, we have the extra space to roll around and the duvet is obviously bigger so less fighting over that! To be honest the new mattress was probably the main lifesaver for us-so much more comfortable x

King size bed should be a must for all parents. They are amazing. I love the extra space. Definitely life changing kind of beds. lol The nursery looks stunning. It is really funny how as soon as you have a second baby the first looks so very grown up. I remember looking at my one and half year old and holding my newborn and he looked grown up even then next to her. lol Hope you have had a lovely weekend. #littleloves

They really should. When LB is wiggling his way between us in the morning and jumping around theres just that bit more space even with a huge bump! The nursery is getting there juts need to sort those last few finishing touches which aren’t going quite to plan. Its going to be so strange to have a baby again-i’m not quite sure how i’m going to handle it right now. Hope you had a lovely weekend x

The best thing we ever did was buy a king sized bed just before the birth of our first child – it was heaven. The idea of going back to anything smaller fills me with dread! xxx #LittleLoves

Sounds like you’ve got a clever little boy on your hands! The things children come out with can be so fascinating… And often times amusing also!
I quite enjoyed The Girl on the Train; I’m intrigued to see how the movie adaptation is.
The new bed looks great, as does the food! I hope you have a great weekend!

I know he makes me laugh, cry and be amazed on a daily basis its crazy! Yes I’m going to keep going on it and then i can watch the film. Ive always been one to read a book first and then somehow rarely get round to the film until years later and I’ve forgotten the story anyway-lol! x

Oh man, king sized beds are life changing! We got ours soon after we got married and its the best. My husband is over 6 foot and with two children often finding their way into our bed the extra space is much needed!
The nursery is looking lovely… now go and get that hospital bag packed!! 😉 xx
