An induction date, homegrown tomatoes & make up! #LittleLoves #38

Hello Friday and 37 weeks pregnant! Yes as my due date is a Friday these little loves post have turned into a little bit of a countdown for me!

This week has been a weird one! I’ve been in an exhausted blur as I’m just not sleeping, LB is being a complete pickle and that’s putting it nicely, I’ve had to teach when my body is definitely on meltdown mode and I’ve hardly taken any photos I’ve just discovered.

This weeks little loves are a possible induction date, homegrown tomatoes and make up!

Read

I actually picked up my kindle and started The Girl on the Train at the weekend. I really got into it and then haven’t managed to pick it up since as I’ve just felt too crappy.

Watched

Nothing! Wow!

I haven’t yet caught up with Poldark from Sunday or cold feet at all or even GBBO due to having to go into work, being absolutely exhausted and generally having the attention span of a gnat!

LB enjoys watching the sky of an evening though and sits there with his daddy looking out for birds and aeroplanes.

Heard

The good news that I will know my induction date at my appointment next week! With all the hospital appointments and growth scans and medications I’ve started to feel completely bleurgh about these last few weeks of pregnancy. It’ll be nice to have a date in my head so I can see a light at the end of the tunnel. I know it’s not long to wait now anyway but it will also mean we can organise our childcare and work etc too which is a bonus.

Made

A really beautiful tomato pasta using tomatoes from our garden! Typically no photo but it’s a staple of ours as so easy and tasty…..fresh tomatoes, mushrooms and salami and normally with a bit of basil, capers and olives thrown in too.

Wore

A full face of make up and a snapchat filter to get me through some rather exhausted looking days! I have not been sleeping well at all! I’ve been seeing every 30-60 mins from 10pm through to 7am for most of this week. I even when to bed at 2pm yesterday and ended up lying there snoozing on and off till 9pm where I got up to eat an omelette and then headed back to bed! I’m feeling so exhausted by my body/brain just won’t let me sleep!

Thank goodness for full blown make up-the tinted moisturiser just wasn’t cutting it!

And Lastly

As this week saw Roald Dahls 100th birthday I thought I’d leave this little quote here. He was an inspiration to many and I can’t wait to start reading some of the stories to LB.

I’m linking up with the lovely Morgana over at coffeeworksleeprepeat for this weeks #littleloves

I wish taking it easy was an option right now to be honest Morgana. Ive been covering dance classes, admin up to my eyeballs, decorating and organising and generally just working myself to the point of exhaustion and pelvic pain. Why is it so different second time round no afternoon naps allowed. I must spend the next two weeks chilling more! Oops x

Eek! Not long now until you meet your new bundle. How exciting! I read Girl on the Train last year and didn’t really enjoy it, but I’m definitely in the minority! That pasta dish sounds delicious. Hope you manage to get some rest this weekend xx

I know it’s crazy! It feels like I’ve been pregnant forever but with less than 3 weeks it feels like it’s zoomed by! Girl on a train seems ok so far but I was given a push by seeing there’s a film coming out-I always like to read before I watch! Thank you and enjoy your 4 days with Parker x
