Summer School, After You & Snapchat filters #Little Loves #31

This week has been the first of my Performing Arts summer school I run each year! I am loving the energy from everyone involved and am so grateful for my graduate student helpers as choreographing 22 numbers and keeping a load of kids entertained myself would be a bit much at 30 weeks pregnant. I’m exhausted by the end of each day anyway!

This weeks little loves are !
Read

I devoured this book this week! I was made aware last week after starting it that it had mixed reviews as the sequel to Me Before You, however I have loved it and was hardly able to put it down. It’s the quickest book I’ve read in years, now I have to find a new one and I hate that part!

Heard

Performers from 7-17yrs singing songs from Oliver, Annie, West Side Story, Hamilton, Shrek and more! Even LB has been singing ‘America, America’ around the house! I love it when he gets involved and he really does love to sing and dance!

Watched

Graduate students bring alive some amazing vocals and choreography. I feel truly blessed to watch girls that I have taught for 10 years teach the next generation with such joy, patience and passion. I can’t wait for our show next Saturday because it’s looking fab so far.

Made

On Sunday we asked LB what he wanted for dinner and he said without pausing, Macaroni cheese, so that’s what mummy made! B was hoping for something more like Roast Lamb but he cleared his plate-lol!

I also made Myself pretty with snapchat 😜

At summer school we decided that snapchat was the next social media to bring under our belt, so I downloaded it and had a Litte bit of fun!! I’m now on there as gems_treasures if you want to find me but it’s going to take some getting used to I think.

Wore

I decided on Tuesday to give myself a little pampering, as I’ve been on the laptop every evening doing work, so I took myself into the bath with a face mask and my book- It was lovely to just chill!

I was also lucky enough to be given a Dutch plait while on our lunch break at summer school one day. I can do these on other people just wish I could them on myself, it’s so pretty!

And Lastly

One of my students brought in a cuca melon in her lunch this weekend. Apparently a cross between a cucumber and a meli but it’s tiny! I have never seen one before and we like to try new things, so I usually spot random fruit and veg in the supermarket. Apparently her dad grows them though-They are so cute and really tasty!

Another week of linking up with the lovely Morgana over at CoffeeWorkSleepRepeat for the linky #LittleLoves

How weird but cute is that little cucumber/melon thing! You’re looking fab, you certainly don’t look knackered at 30 weeks that’s for sure! I think I might have to download Me After You onto my kindle tonight. I was put off buying it because of the reviews, but now I’m convinced! Have a great weekend x

I know tell me about it, I was completely confused by it but very tasty! Oh bless you thank you-I’m very grateful people keep saying how good I look considering I’d like to curl up in a ball and sleep for a week! Well I thoroughly enjoyed it and I hope you do too-apologies in advance if you feel disappointed like others seem to but I was hooked! Have a lovely weekend xx
