Happy Summer Holidays to Me!! Apologies if you’re still waiting but I’m feeling all excited and ready to enjoy a little bit of downtime (well after my summer school officially but at least I get my evenings back). The sun has really been trying to shine through this week-amongst the rain showers and I’m feeling good! I hope you’re all with me or at least can see that light at the end of the tunnel.
This weeks little loves are new books, sports day and the start of the holidays!
Read
While doing the food shop this week I treated myself to a couple of little reads! One being the magazine ‘Gurgle’ as with 12 weeks to go I really thought it was about time I started to think about this wriggly baby and what we may need and the second the book ‘After You’ by JoJo Moyes. I loved Me before You and devoured it quickly and ended up sobbing hysterically. God knows what I’ll be like when I finally watch the film. I’ve only managed to read the first two chapters so far as I’ve been working till late each night but I’m enjoying it and looking forward to delving in more.
Nothing new really. I want to spend some time this summer finding some new music as I’m really stuck in what’s been on my iPod for ages! Any recommendations would be great?
Watched
LB in his first sports day! Well I’ve never laughed so hard. My little man may be slightly competitive and basically cheated himself to a win in every race.
Running, jumping, spider (on hands and feet), beanbag balancing and potato and spoon races all consisted of the first 2 metres done correctly followed by a mad dash for the finish line and a sticker!
His little friend did everything meticulously with a big proud grin on his face! LB just wanted to win-I think I may have to have a word with Daddy-lol!
They finished the morning with a medal ceremony and LB has been proudly showing off his all day!
Made
A tit out of myself! Saturday was our local town festival and myself and my friend were running stalls advertising my performing arts school and her youth theatre. We had a photo booth of costumes and the kids had a complete giggle dressing up all day. I had to join in the fun obviously!
My kids also performed some routines, opening the show which is wonderful to watch, especially as we were the only group to be asked this year, the rest were bands!
Occasionally the tshirts and strappy tops without extra layers, have come out this week! However the weather really can’t work itself out still! Come on summer I’m after lots of days out and picnics in the park please.
This was LB on his first day, back in April and last day of preschool on Wednesday, I can’t believe how much he’s grown up in just one term.
And lastly
It’s officially the summer holidays for us-yippee!! We have friends up from Exeter for weekend that we haven’t seen since new year and I’m so damn excited.
I’ve got lots of plans for my blog, my work, my house and fun and now I have just to get my head round how to get it all done-ha now that’s the mission!
Linking up with Morgana and her fab linky for another week of #LittleLoves
I’ve never been a fan of ‘parenting’ magazine’s but Gurgle changed that for me and it would defo be my go to if I was having more babies.
I’ve just bought After You, I really need to find some time to start it!
Yay for the holidays! xx

I agree Morgana! I got gurgle a few times when pregnant with Lb though and really liked its approach. It’s been great this time round seeing so many familiar blogging faces in there too 😄. Am loving ‘after you’ already not wanting to put it down if only I had a child that napped or allowed me to read more. Summer is finally here x

Loving what I’ve read already but in normal style I fall asleep after a few pages when reading at night! Got to find a peaceful daytime slot-yeah right! Lol x
