Watching my husband and son together is beautiful! The relationship that has built between them over the last 3 1/2 years is heartwarming and makes me so proud to be part of this family! 

Of course they have their moments, daddy sometimes needs peace and quiet when LB doesn’t want to comply, or LB wants his own way (today it was driving his toy car down the main road) and daddy says no, but then this is the fun of parenting!

LB is so excited as soon as hears B’s van come up the drive each night and especially recently pushes me aside immediately and it’s all about daddy!!

Their most recent evenings have been spent putting football stickers in their Euro book and writing the results on the wall poster in LBs bedroom. LB tells daddy the numbers and helps him find each one, talking about the teams, countries, colours etc and mummy is not allowed to be involved (until I’m older apparently).

Rough and tumble play is what it’s all about with these two. They throw each other about, climb all over, wrestle and giggle their way through every day. 

Gruffalo hunts, splashing in puddles and finding huge sticks are something that mummy is rarely allowed to do! Apparently I need to stand back in case I get hurt! Quite cute that he’s trying to protect me but…..

LB wants to help B with everything he does! Not always making the job easier but it’s wonderful to watch him copying every move, doing his bit and the pride in his face! 

Chill time is usually when LB cuddles up with mummy but I love catching little moments of sensitivity between them. Early morning snuggles watching cartoons in bed or films and popcorn at the weekend. 

Having LB has changed both myself and B as individuals as well as as a couple. He has given us a bigger focus, someone who relys on us 100% and secures our team ethic. We made our promises to each other almost 5 years ago at our wedding, before children were on the horizon and here we are stronger then ever about to embark on being a family of 4.

I can’t wait to see B with the new baby. We haven’t found out the sex, but I know whether it’s a boy or a girl the relationship they will have with their daddy will be beautiful. I can’t wait to watch it grow and to continue to enjoy the love and joy in both B and LB’s eyes when they are together.
