Little Loves 2016 #19

Woohoo the sun has been shining-well the second half of the week anyway!
It gives me a real spring in my step and the long weekend made this week even brighter!

Read

This week  I have finished 2 books-Wow!!
The Unmumsy Mum and The Life-changing Magic of Tidying.
I also started the new Stieg Larrson book ‘The Girl in the Spiders Web’,
after seeing it advertised on the tube last Saturday!

I loved The Unmumsy Mum, it really did hit the nail on the head with how amazing yet how frustrating kids can be and here i am having another!
The KonMari book has me inspired now to just actually put some of it into practice.

Heard

I’ve been playing Spotify playlists while working in the mornings!
It’s kept me going with all my little jobs I need to try and finish before picking LB up from preschool.

Watched

Inspiration!

Last Saturday i went up to London to watch an ex students first dance show at uni.  It was lovely to see a mix of talent, style and student choreography and how much she had grown as a person and dancer in her first year at uni.  It really is wonderful to see a student who i have worked with for 10 years move forward with the same passion and determination in dance I have.

Ive also seen a couple of you tube videos which have stuck with me!

Prince Ea – everybody dies but not everybody lives.

To me this was an eye opener.
Something you know but sometimes you just need reminding of.
Its so important to really live your life.

Also The P&G Thank You, Mom – Strong Advert.
I’ve loved all the others from past Olympics and they always leave me in tears,
realising the bond between mother and child and how much we teach our kids just by being there for them.

Made

This week we brought a Breville Blend Active.
B has a tendency to forget to eat when at work or ends up spending a fortune on food bought out. We have started taking juices to work as well as Frappucino’s which is saving money and keeping him filled up.
We know they are doing us good with the mix of fruit, veg and seeds.

Little B has been helping me make them each morning and has been enjoying drinking them too. It’s really lovey to know he’s enjoying something so good for him.

Wore

Yes the shorts and tshirts are out!

The funny thing is he now won’t wear his summer hat, but will wear the winter beanie -that he wouldn’t wear all winter!

And Lastly

We had a wonderful May Bank Holiday.
A 3 day weekend, 4 day week is always so good – however its spent!
It was all pretty chilled with an evening out in london for me, a day at home and an impromptu day on a steam train.

I really need to get into Spotify as my 10 year old daughter is always listening to her playlists on it. Oh the shame of being behind your kids when it comes to all things tech lol. Hurrah for the summer and lets hope it sticks around. Have a great week x

I love that you’re having good enough weather to get the shorts out! It’s only just starting to warm up here so we’ve not quite got that far yet! I wish all weeks were a 3 day weekend to be honest – it would make life a lot more relaxed! x

It’s only picked up this week and today is supposed to be the hottest-typically I have a 4 hr dance rehearsal, yikes! It makes such a difference to our productivity and motivation. Fingers crossed you get some sun soon, I think the thunderstorms are hitting is on Tuesday X

I keep meaning to get the Unmumsy Mum book! Not too sure on the KonMari one though as if I spend time reading when I could be tidying it kind of defeats the object – not that I plan on spending any time tidying either ha ha! What is it with kids and their winter hats when it’s sunny!? Mine does that too. Have a lovely weekend x
