3 years ago today, on Monday 28th January 2013 at 18.43pm weighing 7lb 14.5oz
our gorgeous little boy entered the word.
It had been a long few days and completely not to plan,
but hey that’s for another post, one day!
Today is all about our little, or not so little 3 year old boy!
LB is a huge fan of Mr Men, Paw Patrol and Thomas the Tank Engine.
He has just started to do puzzles and understand how they go together-kind of!
He loves having stories read to him and reading them himself,
I often go to check on him at night to find him hugging a book,
and listening to him explain the story that he’s memorised,
or talk about the pictures, is just too cute!
He’s grown up so much in the last year.
We got him Potty trained over the summer and now we very rarely have accidents.
His speech has magnified 10 fold!
You can hold a complete conversation with him and he remembers stuff!
Only issue is you now can’t get one past him!
He makes me laugh with his dance moves,
his sneaky ways of apologising as he takes food he shouldn’t be having,
the way he squeals when he doesn’t get his own way
and yesterday at this point he opened the butter dish and squished the butter with his bare hands, before squealing even more that his hands were dirty!
And he calls the stalk in grapes ‘nipples’, which has me in stitches.
He has ants in his pants, rarely keeping still.
He keeps his grandparents on their toes for sure!
He’s so loving and loves to kiss cuddle and give snuggles,
though he will always run and hide with his face down in the corner of the sofa or under the covers when you want to give him a kiss goodbye!
He calls me and B his best friends!
Everyday I want to pick him up and squish him!
To hold him tight in my arms and wish that it could stay like this forever,
but we have more exciting journeys to enjoy together
through preschool, schools, friendships, girlfriends, careers, family’s and life!
I want to be by his side always!
Celebrating every success and holding him close every time things don’t go his way.
I want to teach him how to survive, even if sometimes I’m not sure I really know how.
I can’t believe believe he’s mine,
I can’t believe I’ve been lucky enough to have carried and had the most amazing son! Someone who I cherish with all my heart.
The one person who I will love unconditionally for the rest of my life!
The person who calls me Mummy x
(All photos are from his birthday today-my big boy!)
