Ordinary Moments 16 #4 Home Office

My New Years Resolution was organisation.
I must admit to not doing very well with that so far.

We are going into Week 4 of January and 2016 and so far we’ve had
LB with flu, B off work with a swollen knee and plenty to try and get our heads around work wise as its my show term (mega stress).  Lots of things to sort as LB starts preschool next term (this throws our childcare a bit up in the air) and a house where until today the Christmas decs were still in a pile of boxes in the corner of the living room.

So as you can imagine I’ve been feeling a little frazzled!
I haven’t felt negative or beaten as such, just overwhelmed.

The idea of everything having its place (and being in it) is such a dream!
I have been desperate to get all our paperwork sorted
(currently in boxes-many unorganised boxes)
and a little office in place since we moved in in June,
but our spare room has turned itself back to junk room every time i get half way there.

Not this time!
This time its going to become the space i want.

I’ve always been a bit of a hoarder-It drives B mad!
I am a classic
‘but what if we need it again’
‘what if we can’t afford another one later’
‘but it has sentimental value’
person!

I must admit before becoming a mum I was a lot more organised.
I knew where everything was and everything had its place,
however I’ve definitely been slacking the last 3 years.
Disorganisation makes me anxious though
and I am definitely less productive when everywhere is a mess,
so it was a fab news years resolution to pick
in order to bring all areas of my life back together and hopefully a little less chaotic.

I’ve been ogling other bloggers home offices and
I love the look of Katie’s, so minimal and simplistic,
but so many lovely little trinkets, quotes and plants to make it feel homely and I’m envious of Jess’ beautiful new office chair.

I am not a white person at all, but i’m loving the monochrome simplistic style office,
maybe with a splash of colour in a picture, plant or peg board.

I am fed up of the clutter, I want things to look pretty and organised!

I love these quotes A Little Lovely Company put on their Instagram the other day and
A pegboard or wire board would also be great, to pin up anything creative and inspirational.

Right I’m on a mission x

January has been a tough month hasn’t it, you have all these grand plans but life gets in the way. Like you we need to sort out a office, it is currently a junk room! It is just finding the time.
Looking forward to seeing what yours looks like and hopefully you will spur me on to do mine! X

Good luck lovely, I definitely think having an office space you are inspired by helps to make your mind work better- well it does in my case anyway! 😉 You have picked out some gorgeous ideas there. x
