Welcome to this weeks Ordinary Moments.
When I left work on Friday I thought we had a weekend of absolutely nothing ahead of us.
This usually leaves me with a little excitement of being able to chill with my family, no rushing around
but with a little hint of disappointment that we’re just going to be hanging around the house, not doing anything exciting
and the likelihood was B was going to have to work all day Saturday.
So when I spoke to B on the way home and he told me some friends were coming over and shouting us to a Chinese
I thought that sounds wicked, as well as wow I’m tired!
We had a lovely evening chatting away over a chinese takeaway, listening to music, drinking prosecco and rum punch
and just chilling in the garden.
Saturday Morning while still in my pjs and B at work, a friend and her family facetimed me to say they were going into our local town to do some shopping and have a look for some costumes for our show next week.
So out me and Little B went (only the second time I’d braved going somewhere in public without a potty to hand).
We had a lovely morning , mooching round the shops,
Little B being Piggy backed, watching Greg Wallace cook at a local food festival, trying different flavour popcorn
and buying a few little treats for me.
Then in the afternoon me and Little B watched Dumbo and Finding Nemo while cuddled up on the sofa
waiting for Daddy to come home.
An evening of left over chinese, reading to Kill a Mockingbird and few episodes of New Girl Season 3 and I was off to bed.
Today me and Little B gave Daddy a little bit of a lay in and played downstairs before getting a text from my stepmum asking if we wanted to go to the National Trust Cliveden House with them.
She was looking after my niece and nephew too, so it would mean they had all the grandkids and my little sister there too.
B had to go out again this morning to sort some work bits and then wanted to watch the Chelsea game
so Me and Little B got ourselves sorted and went out again.
We played football and had a picnic in the beautiful grounds, grabbed an ice cream, played in the park and walked through the water gardens before going back to my dads house to play on the trampoline and in the sprinklers.
B was shattered by the time we got home and despite discovering he could climb onto his windowsill and wave down to us in the garden (scaring the life out of us) has ended up in bed before his normal bedtime pretty much still dressed.
After a scrummy BBQ, Me and B are now both sat on our laptops in the garden,
drinking rum punch chilling out again before the start of another crazy week.
The next 6 days are going to consist of show preparation (sorting costumes, programmes, tickets, music etc)
to finish off next Saturday with our show and Sunday a Family Day for my little sisters 7th Birthday.
So this weekend which I though may be a little boring…..cleaning and tidying the house, getting some work done etc
has turned into a load of fun, meeting up with lots of people and blowing away the cobwebs.
Impromptu but Perfect.
I’m linking up with mummydaddyme for all the lovely Ordinary Moments.
What a great weekend! I always think that the most fun happens when you don’t have anything planned! I’m now massively craving a chinese take away! xx

I totally agree-when you’re least expecting it!! I must admit a Chinese is always good once in a while 😃 x

Ah those kind of weekends are definitely the best kind. For someone who wasn’t going to do much you ended up doing loads, and it sounds like it was lots of fun. Hope next week goes ok, it sounds super busy! xx

It was amazing and so rarely happens I loved it! Shame B was working so couldn’t join in! Yep it’s gonna keep me busy but hopefully with something hugely worthwhile at the end! Have a great week x
