Musical Theatre, A Dodgy Knee and Souvlaki
This week has been a busy one! I started my annual Summer School this Monday.
We have 10 days to put on a full show with kids from 5-14yrs.
We’ve got a fab bunch of children who are working so hard and It’s been so lovely to have some of my ex students back to help out and Join in the fun!
Read
Lyrics to many songs from Musicals such as Cabaret, 13, Billy Elliott, Joseph and The Little Mermaid.
Running Orders, Registers and To Do lists.
Watched
The second series of New Girl seriously I’m addicted I can’t wait to watch it each night! Nearly into Series 3 now!
I’ve watched Finding Nemo with Little B who now keeps saying ‘mummy he touched the butt’
Also The Rescuers Down Under!
I used to watch the original (we had it on video as kids)
and my mother in law has been reading the book to him and he loves it!
Everyday he asks to watch Cody now!
Children singing-this has been a mixture between beautiful harmonies and fingers in the ears type vocals!
We still have a week before the show, we’ll get there!
Wore
My dance clothes are back on for summer school and I must admit
I’ve been getting into my pjs a little earlier to chill watching New Girl.
The weather has been pretty shocking really so we haven’t been able to sit outside eating dinner
so I’ve been cosying up under a blanket-seriously where is the sun!
But I also have my knee strapped up this week!
After being in pain with my knee and shoulder for over 8 weeks (always good to be listening to your body-oops)
I went to see my chiropractor today!
Small fracture in my knee joint and a bakers cyst as well as a torn rotator cuff in my shoulder!
No wonder I was in pain – now supposed to be resting and icing it!
Made
Souvlaki with homemade Tsatziki!
This has always been a favourite of Bs and as he has been working so hard I thought I’d surprise him!
I’ve been doing most of the cooking for the last few weeks as for once I’m actually home before him!
I’ve been feeling a bit negative and fragile the last few weeks wondering why i put myself out there
when every time I think things are starting to go well I get more set backs.
This quote keeps things in perspective for me.
I’ve just realised that this published on Friday with a shocking layout and half of what I had written missing
-no idea whats going on except the fact that my wifi keeps cutting out on my laptop.
Its fine on every other device but not the laptop and as I published something obviously went wrong.
Annoying so apologies for anyone who read my spelling mistakes and thought what is she on this week!
Linking up with the lovely ladies for our Little Loves with

Aw I loved The Rescuers! Sounds like you have your hands full with all those musicals, that’s exactly the kind of thing my nieces have always been into – they are Stagecoach graduates! The Souvlaki has really made my mouth water – I absolutely love that kind of Greek spiced lamb – delicious! Hope your knee & shoulder aren’t causing you too much pain and you have a lovely weekend Xx #littleloves
