Welcome to this weeks Little Loves here at gemslittletreasures,
they involve dance festivals, cleaning and our new house!!
Read
I’m still working my way through To kill a Mockingbird.
I’m not a slow reader I just only get few a tiny bit each night before passing out, exhausted!
I have had a little read through some blogs this week and a few articles,
but my head has been so much on the move I can’t remember much to be honest!
Watched
While B was away last weekend I watched some of my little pleasures on TV!
Rizzolli and Isles, Big Bang Theory, Rules of Engagement and randomly the film The Haywire, that just came on after something else while I was reading some blogs and I got a little caught up.
Not an amazing film but it kept me watching till the end!
I also watched my little novice (beginner) dancers at festival last Saturday.
Gutted I missed the open (more advanced) dancers as I was so busy! Its still going on for the next two weekends, with so many different dances going on but with the move going on, I doubt I’ll get to watch as much as I’d like.
Heard
Lovely news when our lyrical trio came 3rd last Sunday.
I was busy scrubbing and moving boxes when I got a text from my assistant teacher
and photo of the girls with their medals.
Lovely things about Hamburg, Germany. This is where B went to his Stag Do at the weekend. He said it was such a lovely city. Its wasn’t on my list of places to go, but it sounds like it needs to be added.
Wore
Old/Dirty clothes to clean out our new house.
We got the keys last Friday and it was so lovely to finally walk in and think this is ours,
but the place was so dirty it took all weekend with my Auntie, Nan and Grampy
(Mum on holiday and Husband on a Stag Do-not helpful) to get the place to an OK standard.
My flip flops-God is it nice to have the sun shining-PLEASE stay lovely sun!
Paint – Me and my stepmom did the Colour Obstacle Run last Sunday-it was such a giggle
i’ve written a little post about it here.
Made
A filthy house, clean?! Ok not 100% clean just a bit more hygienic.
Gross!
At least the garden is pretty and doesn’t need a huge amount of work!
Our first garden-I’m so excited.
Little B is loving it already.
And Lastly
We get to sleep in our new house for the first time tomorrow-eek!
I also get to spend some time with one of my best friends who’s coming from Exeter to help us move.
I don’t see her enough and miss her loads, so this is a double whammy weekend! x
This week (all yesterday) has also seen us celebrate my dad and stepdads birthday, my sister and brother in laws anniversary and me owning my Dance School for 8 years! Wow!
Sorry this post is new house loaded and I’m sure my posts will be that way for a little bit!
Thanks for reading x
Linking up with butwhymummywhy for her Little Loves

Lovely that you get to have a garden at last, I was the same before I moved a year ago and the kids love the garden – can’t get them out of it half the time! I hate the cleaning part of moving, mind you I don’t much like the packing and unpacking side of it either! Hope you have fun with your friend and a great first night in your new home x

Happy new home. You have so much to celebrate at the moment! Don’t worry about being house-blog focused at the moment. When I first moved I was posting about cardboard boxes and am still posting about the garden. It’s an exciting time to share with us all xx Have a wonderful first night in your new home xx

Wow, owning your own dance school for eight years, congratulations! That is my dream, to have my own stage school – I’m still hoping that I can do it one day. Maybe when Parker is a little older? It’s great to read about a fellow dance teacher’s week, hectic aren’t they?! I’m heading back to work, after maternity leave, for show week – not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing – we shall see!
Enjoy your weekend xx

Thank you! It was always my dream and I was just lucky to get he opportunity so young but grateful even with the hard work! Yikes back for show week you are brave! Sounds like me I had a c section 6-8 weeks before my school show. I was back to workshops and show hardly being able to move-so grateful for some fab teachers and mums! I’m sure you could do it-hectic yes but feels so good! Hope show goes well x

Good luck with the move! We move in August and I am already exhausted thinking about it, but it will be worth it for the garden! Yay.
Ick to it being so filthy though, I’d hate to leave a place in a state! Glad it’s clean now.
Well done on the colour obstacle run – looks messy ha ha! xxx
