(Little loves 15) *No 7*

Welcome to this weeks ‘Little Loves’ including : The Four Collection, Roast Lamb and preschools…….

Read

I finished the last two short stories from ‘The Four Collection’ (The Son and The Traitor).
I enjoyed them as a nice little finisher to the Divergent series, but they weren’t as good as the Trilogy itself.

I Brought ‘One Small Act of Kindness’ by Lucy Dillon,
on my kindle but haven’t actually managed to start reading yet.
Still ready to go on Chapter One……

However now I’m tempted to re read ‘To Kill A Mockingbird’ by Harper Lee ready to read the sequel (prequel?)
‘Go Set A Watchman’ due out in July.

I always find starting a new book really hard.  I get so attached to the previous one.

Watched

The film ‘The Other Boleyn Sister’ came on on Tuesday night while I was doing some paperwork and I got a little too in to it. Not something I’d have thought of watching if I’m honest but it really gripped me.
Didn’t realise Anne Boleyn was such a bitch!
I’ve still got to watch the last half hour as it got late and I needed to wash my hair etc so hoping its on Iplayer or something.

Little B has a new Disney favourite in Aladdin, we still have to watch Cinderella sometimes
but I’m gradually educating him on the joys of Disney!

Wore

Flip flops for a day and then back to my trainers!

However its now 8pm and I am sat outside writing this (Thursday Night-BBQ on the go)
so I’ve got my fingers crossed for a warm Half Term break.

Heard

Fearne Cotton’s last few shows on Radio One on the way to work.
I really like her and will be sad when I don’t get to listen to her anymore, though as a mum, she’s making a choice thats right for her family and I respect that-something has to give sometimes and I have a feeling I’m going to have to make that choice at some point too.

I must make sure I tune in for her last one today.

Made

Roast lamb.
B usually cooks the roasts but he was busy doing bits and pieces for his business and cleaning his van out, so I did instead.  I am certainly not the cook in this house, but over the years I have gained in confidence and do a pretty good job, If I do say so myself.

And Lastly

I went to visit a preschool for Little B this week. Although he’s not funded till next year I knew I needed to get his name down on a waiting list and now we know where we’re moving it made everything a little easier.

He got involved straight away, playing with everything on offer as I chatted, I really don’t think we’ll have an issue.  Now its just to wait and see if and when we can get offered a place.  I may be able to pay for him to start a little earlier.  I think it’ll be really good for him as although he loves his time with his grandparents, I think they could do with a bit of a break from his ridiculous energy levels and he needs to spend some time with kids.

Thanks for reading my Little Loves linking up with Morgana at butwhymummywhy

Flip flops are always a sign of summer coming, even if they’re only on for a moment! Good to see! I am also impressed with your weeknight BBQ. Good effort! #littleloves

I need to get around to finishing the Divergent series. I stopped after the first one even though I really liked it. I have seen the film though and was pretty impressed with it for a book adaptation.

I love Aladdin, it’s one of my favourites. Elsa likes ‘Uwull’ (Ariel) ‘Belle’ (Beauty and the Beast) and ‘Monsters’ (Monsters Inc.) but we own pretty much all of them so she will be forced to sit through the rest of my favourites at some point 😉

    Have a great weekend! xxx

Yes it was a pretty good saltation but I always have to read books first as they are usually better. I know the 2nd film is out so get reading 😃 I tried beauty and the beast the other day but didn’t keep him captivated-I want a big old collection but currently just downloading from sky! Have a good one xx

Aww lovely post. My little one starts pre-school in September and choosing was really difficult where we wanted him to go, but we’re set now. Makes you feel so much better doesn’t it? Hoping for a warm half-term too xxx enjoy your bank holiday #littleloves

I love listening to Fearne Cotton on Radio 1 as well. Like you said I understand why she’s leaving, but I’m still gutted – first Zane Lowe now Fearne, sob!
I’m going to dig out my copy of To Kill a Mockingbird for a re-read too. It was one of my favourite books as a teenager so I’m keen to enjoy it all over again.
    Have a lovely weekend xx

Your roast lamb looks delicious, it is my very favourite meat. Yum!
I have just bought the Divergent trilogy to read and am also thinking about rereading to Kill a Mockingbird. It would be nice for my kids to read it too when they are a little older. The Other Boleyn Girl is totally historically inaccurate but that aside it’s a good historical romp. Have a lovely week x
